Cultivating medical marijuana can be a very rewarding experience, whether you grow for personal use or for the health of others. These benefits include helping others with their health conditions, personal medical benefits, and not to mention financial rewards.

Growing up in Northern California I was introduced to marijuana at an early age. I moved to Southern California in my early twenties and started my first grow. I started with a homemade hydro system that only produced some small buds. Frustrated, I made some calls, did some more research and tried again. Throughout the years I’ve tried every system out there. Some systems worked, some systems didn’t. I started keeping notes on what to do and what worked best.  I’ve grown indoors and outdoors, in spaces as small as a closet to as large as a warehouse. I’ve had more than three hundred plants at one-time and I have always wished there was one book, one system that anyone could use as a first time manual or a reference guide.

A few years after California passed prop. 215, I began sketching out everything I had learned. I began to outline a step by step guide that would allow anyone to start growing marijuana. I went over all my notes; reviewing all the tips, strategies, and techniques. I remembered every success and every failure. One year later I was done; it was all there, with all the secrets I had learned over the last twenty years. It was time to put it to the test!

I am currently involved in California’s medical marijuana industry and own several medical dispensaries and grows. I have a patient who had been using our medicine for a couple years. His name is Ed; he is a retired military veteran. Occasionally we would talk about his interest in growing, knowing that he knew nothing about growing, I wanted to see if my guide would work. I gave him a very rough printed out copy and he said he would give it try. Three months later he came in smiling ear to ear with his first harvest. It worked! Ed is now a regular cultivating member and provides our dispensaries with some of the best top shelf medicine we have.
